Lon Pennington: so, the car isn't registered in your name at all? Or someone sold it to you recently and you have a bill of sale? Or you don't have the document proving you are the registered owner? If the car isn't registered to you, it will be towed/impounded and your driver's license will (most likely) be suspended. You'd be looking at about a grand to get it all straightened out.If the car is registered to you and you just don't have the registration in the car, most cops will run your license and plate and see that you are indeed the owner, and let you go....Show more

Car registration?
Michel Mccaulley: Yes, if you drive with expired plates you will be stopped and ticketed, perhaps have your vehicle towed. You don't need the title to do the registration however, just take your notice you received from the state you moved from and proof of insurance to the state you now live in, and explain the situation. They will be able to advise you. (Get a ride there, don't drive the one with expired plates.)
Lulu Bukowiecki: Check with the DMV in your new state. You might be able to get a temporary registration. You won't get arrested (unless you have warrants) if you get pulled over, but you might get a ticket.

How far of a commute to work is too much?
Cletus Crotts: 30 minutes is not a long way from work. If you like the apartment and the location, then I say go for it!
Chadwick Schmelz: I suppose I should clarify I'm not in a city and I would be driving.
Sherita Gallati: Well people living in big cities are used to commuting for 1 hour or more while it is fantastic to be 5 minutes from work. You have to consider what happens in your car breaks down, can you still get to work from the new town by pubilc transport? Many people are moving to bad apartments near where they work, mostly because at home they do very little and they prefer to go out, not stay at home.On the other hand if you like to live at home and are focused on your lifestyle, finding a better place to live can be important. Sorry I don't have an answer but 30 minutes is not a long way to work for most people....Show more
Jesusita Dykhoff: get
Jacques Teri: Okay, what's your problem? A 15 minute drive is not that long, try an hour &! a half one way, then we'll talk.
German Thal: I lived 17 miles from my job in Seattle....some mornings it was over an hour to get there. No public transportation alternative. Hated it. And going home cld be even worse. So, I think you should actually go do the drive a couple of times, check out the train or bus system and then make a decision.

Stopping to make car payments?
Betsey Muehlbach: No, but if you want your credit ruined for seven years.
Kirk Coolbeth: It will mess your credit bad! Additionally, they will (after 3 months) repossess your car and anything in it, and you will legally still be responsible for paying the car off. If you don't want the car anymore, see what the dealer you bought it from can do for you, or call the bank and explain the situation to see what options they can offer. It's better to deal with the situation responsibly than to just quit making payments.
Todd Stogner: Awful for your credit, I know from experience. And they will find you and take your car from you. Then what will you drive? You will still eventually have to give them money and then you will have that hanging over your head for a very long time. You may lose a few years off your life due to stress too. If you can't make the payments, I would try selling the car or refinancing.
Mercedez Trabue: It's not illegal, but the la! w is in their favor. Here's what they can do:Repossess the vehicle and add the costs of doing so to your balance. Having a repossession on your credit will severely limit your ability to obtain credit for the next 7 years. They will sell the vehicle for a fraction of its actual value, then subtract that sales amount from your outstanding loan balance and send you a letter demanding that you pay the balance owed within 30 days.If you do not pay, they will sue you and obtain a judgment giving them the right to garnish your wages to collect the money you owe them. The bottom line is you signed a contract promising to pay, in return you are allowed to drive the vehicle while you are making payments on it. The honorable thing to do is make those payments as you promised to....Show more
Rachell Meese: Watch Repo on TruTv and you will see what happens
Kaley Lappas: You will end up paying back your whole loan amount even after the car is sold at auction.
Marquetta G! imm: I'm a little fuzzy on what your situation is but I hope t! his helps. As far as paying them, yes they will bug you until they receive payment. If it is through a dealerships financial institute, you can often ask for a payment to be deferred. This allows you to skip a month, upon request(usually you can only do this about once a year at most) and it simply add one more payment to the end of your loan term! Hope this helped you.It also helps to keep from hurting your credit score.
Daren Ventrice: No, it's not illegal. It will , as you mention ruin your credit, and they will repossess the car. Watch the film "Repo Man" with Emilio Estavez.

My car audio system isnt giving full potential?
Donnell Mollo: Whats going on when the amp goes into protection? What subs are you using? How are the subs wired? What amp are you using?Have you checked wires to make sure non of them are grounding out?
Oswaldo Rayburn: mmm
Elli Esaw: Just because a sub says it's 1000 watts RMS doesn't automatically mean it's going ot be loud. The input sensitivity of a sub is very important.Example, two subs each 1000 RMS. One is 87dB the other is 92dB. The 92dB sub will be louder. Here is a guide that will calculate what size alternator and power wires you need http://www.box.net/shared/uchv4dbk88You will need Microsoft Excel. If you don't have Excel, use this link http://www.box.net/shared/nkkw1dhk4gOther factors such as type of enclosure, cabin gain, placement, etc. all effect output....Show more
Cody Petrulis: could be overheating
Joellen Zorrilla: if i were you i would go to an upscale pawn shop and buy an 800 to a 1000 watt amp (so its cheaper) and so you dont! have to turn it up all the way so you dont over-push the amp. some 8's sound rally good and suttle on an amp
Patricia Dornbos: it sounds like u have the premier spl 3000s and i have the same subs but i have two...my major problem that i have is my car doesnt generate enough power...i had to buy 2 extra batteries and a capacitor just to kinda push them...and they still turn off when u turn the bass up too high...so check the voltage going to the amp...because spl's slump...hard
Shaunta Paap: Sony has made at least six different '1000 watt' amplifiers. Without knowing which one you have, no one can do more than guess at how it would work with your subs.
Ramona Pago: put in a high power capacitors, a normal battery wont produce enough juice to power the amp properly, then you might wanna go with a bigger more hollow ported box, with 1.25 cubic feet and a powerful sub all you get is a thump, not the boooom we all are in search of, this is my opinion
Ver! ena Koop: Pioneer TS-W304R
Andre Winegar: Taj A, www.bar! gainshoreclub.com carries cheap flea market crap. Nothing that they carry is of any decent quality. The best thing that they carry are Fahrenheit LCD monitors, and those still suck.Check out www.sonicelectronix.comThey carry the 8" JL Audio W7. They are 500 watts rms, and are 3 OHM. If you get a pair you will need to get a 0.5 OHM stable amp. But knowing the W7 ( I am not a fan of JL at all, I hate them, but the W7 is the best 8" sub right now) a single 8" will do the trick for you.
Mee Blumenfeld: speakers in the wrong place.
Jonathan Schlussel: bring it back to the dealership....let them have a look at it....if its a problem they can fix it.
Florencio Dingle: PUNCH THE CHIT OUT OF IT!
Sena Highman: im looking to buy an 8 inch sub to replace my old facotry one. If i get a 300 to 600 watt sub what size amp should i get? Do I even need an amp?
Alberto Kozub: i have a 2400 watt amp nd 2 1200 watt subs.. and all of a sudden my amp shuts of nd go! es into protect mode..??
Vita Moodie: make your car watch to Dr. Phil
Ezekiel Kadner: Call your dealership and see how much power your alternator generates. That could be the source of your problem.
Jayson Brod: I am very educated on car audio and know alot about it but what I am trying to say is that my friend has 2 of these subs and when he disconnects 1 and just plays 1 its sounds at least 2x better than mine and im running it on a better amp than him. I mean my lights in my car do dim quite badly and so does his but I can't find the reason why mine is so quiet
Blaine Connett: there might be some setting on the amp itself to turn it up, or your head unit may have a setting that tells it you are using subs, mine does.
Kenneth Blacker: It could be a few reasons. You're stereo could be the problem. If it doesn't have subwoofer RCA jacks for output, i'd recommend getting a stereo that does. You could have too small of a ground wire, or hot wire! . The settings on your amp could be turned down. You could have somethi! ng wired up wrong. If you can't get it working I'd suggest getting it professionally installed. Incorrectly installing a car audio system could damage your components. It also could be how you have your woofers wired up. Some speakers, or amps don't support 1ohm. I have a 800watt system and it's at 2ohms with my dual voice coil woofers wired in parallel....Show more
An Cardine: i recommend buying from this store considering its excellent quality car audio.www.bargainshoreclub.com
