Kassie Kay: Well I garden in CT so it's a little different. But for tools, if you want a vegetable garden, you wont really need any except for a little shovel, some seeds (or plants from a nursery), water, and nice soil. Try creating a raised bed for the plants, or having a lot of pots! But if you use pots, dont use clay pots, for the sun dries the soil out in clay pots rather quickly. For the soil I suggest getting compost or cow manure, it works wonders! If you want perennials (plants that come back every year) I suggest buying them from a local nursery, NOT ONLINE! Roses are great for beginners because they require little maintenance and theyre very pretty. You could also just look around nurseries and see what you like! Don't forget to mulch too for appearance and to keep weeds down! For the grass, you might want to look into sprinklers, but they can be costly, especially since water is scarce. Ask a neighbor, if they have a green lawn, how they got it that way and how ! they maintain it. They'd know better than me since our climates are very different!...Show more
Jade Ohno: it may be counted on the climate you have and soil circumstances. some vegetables do greater advantageous in warmer climates than much less warm. case in point corn stalks choose alot of finished sunlight daily. they choose the floor heat at nighttime, no longer cool. i've got under no circumstances grown corn, using our damper greater cooler climate. Squash! does nicely, and now and lower back, like zuchini, too nicely! , and that they like finished sunlight. eco-friendly peppers like a raised mattress section for some reason. and that they like finished sunlight additionally. Radishes do nicely with morning sunlight and not finished overhead all day. Replant greater interior a similar section, for a greater advantageous crop the 2nd panting in summer time.they look exceptionally user-friendly to advance. comparable with long eco-friendly onions. I had an aunt who used raised beds for her tomatoes and her cucumbers and he or she had alot of production. greater so than mine. you may make the guidelines your self from the development supply shops. and then fill them with the right potting soil and different foodstuff. they shield heat temperature at nighttime which contributes to greater advance interior the plant. interior the northern states the plac! e the chilly climate has been prolonged spring has only started. ensure your nighttime soil isn't chilly till now you plant. initiate seeds indoors in superb sunlight via a window in case you could.
