Lon Pennington: so, the car isn't registered in your name at all? Or someone sold it to you recently and you have a bill of sale? Or you don't have the document proving you are the registered owner?If the car isn't registered to you, it will be towed/impounded and your driver's license will (most likely) be suspended. You'd be looking at about a grand to get it all straightened out.If the car is registered to you and you just don't have the registration in the car, most cops will run your license and plate and see that you are indeed the owner, and let you go....Show more
