Blythe Noreiga: You are going to have to do a lot of research. Google preschool your city your state and make a list of program that look appealing to you, ie good location. Visit them personally to observe a class in progress so you can watch for cleanliness, staff/child interactions, availability of high quality materials etc. If you like what you see, talk with the director about rates. There may be subsidies you could qualify for. How low is your income? Head Start is free for very low income families, and some states have low or no-cost pre-k programs you might qualify for. Don't base your decision on cost alone, however. Look for quality. When you can show your hubby brochures from programs you have visited and information on costs, subsidies if available, you will be better prepared to convince him of the benefits of programs you feel are best for your child....Show more
