Ramon Dahlheimer: most people I know who rent a house with a pool include the maintenance in the amount of the rent. It is best that way you know it will be taken care of correctly. I wouldn't want a owner coming over every week to do the maintenance. I have nothing to hide, just would feel uncomfortable.
Rosann Mccomb: you're renting a house? then you are to blame. The ants have been poor this year! think of it is the climate... besides to spraying, you probable want ant traps. call the pest administration provider, get it executed, then positioned out ant traps.
Ginny Trickett: Personally, I can not afford the insurnace involved with renting a house with a pool. I have 3 kids to feed.If I were to buy property with a pool (can't imagine why I would do that) I think I would charge extra for maintainance and just hire someone. But, again, I would hire for my private residence as well. The insurnace company might also require that you have a professi! onal handling it since it is investment property and no longer a residencial home....Show more

Thomas Riner: Landlord has it right. My landlord insurance policies specifically prohibit a pool to be on the premises. I can't imagine the cost of the policy if there was a pool there that I needed to cover.See what the insurance company wants and go with it.
