Elvin Mannheimer: Art is largely crap. I went to the art muesem a few years ago with my communist professor from Kalifornia and one display featured some pots and pans sitting next to a boxing glove. That's art?
Cletus Crotts: For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/axAa0One, as long as it's a very big pixel. There's no actual number, because it all depends on how many dots per inch your printer supports, how wide its margins (the part of the page it can't print on) are and a whole lot of other things. The best thing is to design the image at the biggest size it is easy for you to work at, then print it out. Most software will have an options named "Print to maximum size" or "Fill page" or something similar that scale the image to cover as much of the page as the printer can manage....Show more
Jude Kennelly: If so, how difficult was it to find a position as a curator? Do you have a Ph.D.? I h! ear there is a lot of competition in the field. What is the salary range for someone with a MA and someone with a Ph.D.?I am interested in being a curator of contemporary art. If you are in a position such as this, I would love to hear more about it. Thank you so much for your answers....Show more
Riley Migl: True art is being able to express yourself and your feelings in any media. Other people's interpretation of it doesn't matter. I have admired Marcel Duchamps Nude Descinding a Stair case but disliked Andy Warhol's soup can posters. I recently made a tin woodsman out of old cans and a funnel. I did it to be creative and many people told me it was true art. I wonder . . .
Misty Vagle: In what program are you trying to use the font? Programs like Adobe CS(2,3) and Quark XPress need to be restarted to load the fonts. If you're using a font manager (like Suitcase) make sure the new font is activated.
Cordia Fivecoat: The inches that will allow you to! print.I'm trying to print a full size A4 image but I don't kn! ow how much of the image I need to increase so that it fits perfectly.
Shad Bushweller: there all kinds of arts. i saw a one-act drama competiton piece on it just last november. it can be anything. and there isn't just one that's the best, they all make the world a better place.
Ervin Overbee: art is like a mirror and what u draw is a reflection of what you are going through or been through.
Jeremy Donohue: Art can describe several things: a study of creative skill, a process of using the creative skill, a product of the creative skill, or the audienceâs experience with the creative skill. The creative arts (art as discipline) are a collection of disciplines (arts) that produce artworks (art as objects) that are compelled by a personal drive (art as activity) and echo or reflect a message, mood, or symbolism for the viewer to interpret (art as experience). Artworks can be defined by purposeful, creative interpretations of limitless concepts or ideas in o! rder to communicate something to another person. Artworks can be explicitly made for this purpose or interpreted based on images or objects.Art is something that stimulates an individual's thoughts, emotions, beliefs, or ideas through the senses. It is also an expression of an idea and it can take many different forms and serve many different purposes.in the end art is the begining of my life and thats where it will end....Show more

Francis Stickle: A4 Inches
Betsey Muehlbach: art is almost every thing; is the environment we lived in;it's our bodies it's nature; it's creating things; it's your emotions your fair's you been happy or sad, art is looking at things from the in- side out and the out- side in. art is beautiful kind gentle and respect .in conclusion art is about you and me. be bless!!!
Donnie Bolio: Art ! can be anything, it's subjective. To one person an object is nothing mo! re than an object, a performance nothing more than a happenstance, or a poem/story nothing more than written words; to another it's a masterpiece, the performance of a lifetime, or moving/inspiring words.
Nedra Oltz: To me, art is an expression of the soul. Anything that is emotionally moving, created beauty.
Cherlyn Tefera: Art is something that is created or captured by a person that either:1) carries meaning to the artist or to society 2) is a presentation of aesthetics A work of art is not something found in nature, but nature can become a work of art if it is painted or photographed or emulated. A work of art doesn't have to be meaningful to the artist in order for others to consider it art. A commission work, for example, might be an artist's way of getting money and doesn't carry much personal meaning, but the person who pays for the artwork can derive meaning from it.
Andrew Sinatra: Art is everything around me. Art can be found in anything tha! t anyone created, from a photograph print to the t-shirt you're wearing to the song you just listened to. Art can be so many different things and have multiple meanings to everyone. That's what makes art so amazing, and that's why we need more art in our schools!
Wilburn Denice: art is expressing your inner self to the world.it may be through a poem ,a painting ,a dance recital or any other form.if your inner feelings are positive you may come out with something which others may appreciate .otherwise it would be a flop.by the way season the art with a little bit of aesthetics please.
Matt Tiry: i think art is something that should last a long time, and should reflect the artist or be of intrest to him/her. Art is not something everyone has to like, but what the artist can appreciate.
Berry Gilmore: Some times I don't know what art is but I know what art isn't.It isn't blocks of paint on a canvas - regardless of what the elites say. It is something tha! t I can relate to. I don't necessarily have to like it, I can apprecia! te the work that goes into it but I wouldn't buy it. I like folk art too. I can see the difference between "fine" art and "folk" art but I would buy what suits me (mean something to me-elicit a response) at the time. It has to say something to me, not just match my decor.
Omar Phipps: A4 Paper In Inches
Kim Gerbino: The nose of a woman. Ballet. The cry of a baby. Composers hear music in their head before writing on a sheet, playing an instrument.Roughness of a cat's tongue. That hillside of flowers. Freckles on my arm.Scrap. Lumber. Iron, steel. Paper. Strips of tape in various positions, not really a ball, stuck on my newspaper.Drawing of atoms. Model of atoms, planets revolving around the sun. Galaxies.Grace. Graceful INSPIRATION before representation. ART.
Dexter Dicostanzo: Something created by another person that invokes a feeling within you.I have thought about this question for years, and although I don't necessarily like all art that I! see, if it invokes me to comment or react, then I consider it art. If it stirs nothing within my soul or anyone else's, then it is not art.
Donnell Nocella: To me, the definition of art is: an expression of self; a way of communicating ideas, emotions, morals, values, and the like. Art is all around us: in the obvious - sculptures, paintings, books, movies, and music, as well as the not-so-obvious - tv commercials, a woman's hairstyle, the "Letter to the Editor" written by a neighbor in your local newspaper. And, because I believe in a higher power, to me, all nature is art as well. Trees, clouds, animals, and also just people - because it was all created by God, it must be an expression of His self, a communication to us here on earth. (Oh, and this is just my reasoning - I hope I'm not offending anyone.)So, that's what art is to me. =)...Show more

Clifford Riggleman: art is anything under the sun.it is an expression of! any individual on anything on any topic that would show their creativity. Art is basically a matter of expression on any thing.
Elli Esaw: To me art is anything that stirs me emotionally, or intellectually. It doesn't have to be a massive work. It could be something as simple as a wonderfully prepared meal arranged on a plate, or a childs creative drawing at the age of 5. Art is like beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder!
Jackson Esmiol: I think art is something that is expressed in various forms. It can be through paintings, music, writing, or such. It's a way for the creator (or artist) to get his deepest feelings out into the open.

Shawn Lelis: I don't claim to know m! uch about art, but to me it is any man made picture/painting/sculpture, that gives you an emotional reaction of some kind. There's a lot of stuff out there under the label of 'art' which is just a load of crap in my opinion. But as I said, I don't claim to know much about art.
Lynn Hollars: Art is a way to express yourself.
Donny Bankson: Art is creativity and self-expression. It comes in many different forms. For example, literature, music and painting are all forms of art. Art is also unique. Although some might imitate a certain style, it cannot be duplicated, not only for copyright considerations, but because every artist has his or her own interpretation. This is the way it should be, because what is uninteresting to one person is utterly fascinating to another. Art is the embellishment of life.
Clay Lipira: While some curators today do not have PhDs, they started in the field back when it was not required. However today it is a necessity.! Museum work is incredibly competitive. People are willing to work there for free, for one thing (volunteers, docents and interns...) making paying work that much more scarce.I would major in art history as an undergrad and start interning in museums ASAP. The more places you are able to intern, the better your resume looks. Then go straight into an MA/ PhD program. You can find programs that are joint and go straight through if you are able.As for the pay, try salary wizard . com I don't know if they list curator as a profession but it is a pretty useful site and they may list it. I can tell you people don't go into museum work for the money, they do it because they think it is the most satisfying work they can do....Show more
